Naruto Episode 043 Shikamaru Staggers!? Female Ninja's Heated Battle

The episode begins with Tenten and Temari facing each other. Tenten seems intimidated as she backs away quickly, chosing a good distance for offense and defense. Temari is confident in this battle, as she quickly dodges Tenten’s attacks. Tenten did not miss, but Temari did dodge with lightning speed.

Tenten, then attacks with a shower of kunai and other sharp weapons from above, but again, Temari deflects them all, with swift movements from her fan. Temari then states that once Tenten sees all three stars on her fan, Tenten will undoubtedly lose.

Tenten then decides to use the ultimate attack she had been wanting to save until the finals: two scrolls which trigger her Ultimate move, Soushouryu, Rising Twin Dragons. This attack showers even more weapons at Temari.

Temari then uses her second star to deflect all of the first attack. Tenten then responds with using Chakra threads to attack again with the weapons; however, Temari reveals her third star, and disappears. Temari resurfaces on top of her gliding fan, and upon landing uses Ninpou Kamaitachi, Whirlwind attack. This technique cuts Tenten with the Chakra hidden in the tornado that Temari created.

Temari then ends the match by placing her fan vertically under Temari as she falls, dealing the final blow. Temari easily wins this battle, just as Shikamaru predicted. Cold heartedly, Temari throws the beaten Tenten from her fan, but luckily, Lee catches her. His anger leads him to attack Temari, but after she stops his attack, he is told, by Gai, to stop; even while the Sand ninja continue to anger lee. The Sand have become participants to be feared.

Sakura has woken up from her battle, and now rejoins Naruto in the stands. Just then, the next battle is announced between Shikamaru and Kin Tsuchi, of Orochimaru’s Sound ninja. Kin is then forewarned of Shikamaru’s shadow techniques.

The battle begins with Shikamaru’s Kage Mane no Jutsu, Shadow Imitation Technique. Kin begins to evade his shadow, but simultaneously sends needles, through her Shadow needle Technique, with bells attached at Chikamaru; however, he sees her plan, and then says he will also guard against her second throw which will probably contain a needle without a bell and one with a bell, so that he would be caught off guard. However, the bells behind him begin to ring, at it turns out that she had controlled them with strings. She then strikes him with two directly hitting needles. However, the bells have a special trick; they trigger a genjutsu, illusion technique, through sound.

Shikamaru now sees numerous Kins and is confused when she throws, what seems to be hundreds of needles. But just as Kin thought that she had won, Shikamaru had used the shadow from her strings to extend his shadow technique to her and hold her in submission. He wins by bending backwards to knock her head against her side of the wall; the reason why he does not hit his head, is that he was a farther distance away from the wall than she was. Shikamaru wins.

The next match is then announced between Naruto and Kiba.
