When I click on the download link, it goes back to the homepage.
The main problem that causes this is if you have a program like Nortans Internet Security or Black Ice firewall on. Another major cause is if you use a download manager, some download managers aren't compatible with our systems. If you turn off all those programs/firewalls and don't use download managers, while using Internet Explorer or Firefox, you should be able to download just fine. The working download program that I use is GetRight, click here. If you still can't then please give xfob an email or PM. Make sure the PM includes all your computer specs, what you are running (as in programs) and browser you are using.
When I right click save as it saves a HTML document.
Some links you can right click save as, some you can't. For the ones you can't right click save as, please refer to the answer above.
Oh no! You removed a certain anime that I wanted to download or was in the middle of downloading.
I ALWAYS give warnings in the news post before removing anything, unless the server died or something because we can't afford it, but that has not happened yet. Go to the forums and ask another member to guide you in the right direction to get that episode(s). Many of the forum users are very nice and helpful people.
Since, I missed that episode(s) can you please bring it back up? Just for a while?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Unless you've helped xfob somehow before, the answer will be no. Again, please use the forums to acquire the episode(s).
Can you send me "insert name here" episode(s)?
Give your mom a hug and do some homework.
When I tried to open the zip file it says it's corrupt
If it says it's corrupt when you tried to unzip it that means the download finished prematurely without your knowledge. All you have to do it download it again. If you are absolutely sure that your download was 100% complete and it's still corrupt send me a message, I'll look into it.
How do I download from the XDCC bot?
First, go download mIRC from http://www.mirc.com then install it. Open it, type in a username and a second username, and whatever information needed. Click OK. Go to options and configure it, click DCC, and choose Auto-get file, choose Resume under If file exists. Now click folders, and choose a folder where you want your anime to download to. Click Ignore and click disable. Now, click server and select everyting except DNS Lookup, unless you want to. Set the port to 59. Type this is the command box /server irc.rizon.net -join #bakakozou or any channel, but that channels is where the bot is at. You should probably register your username, to do so type /nickserv register ChoosePassword YourEmail for example, /nickserv register 123 xfob@hotmail.com then it will send an confirmation code to your email so go retrieve it. Now you can login, to do so type /nickserv identify YourPassword, example, /nickserv identify 123 So, every time you login to rizon.net you should identify yourself. Now to download off the bot type /msg narutofob xdcc send #packnumber you can find the packlisting at http://listing.narutofob.com and off you go you're downloading.
My video streams, I can't save as!
Use a download program such as GetRight or download another media player like BSPlayer, Zoom Player or Classic Media Player, or just any player and set it as your default player. When you download it will allow you to save the file instead of streaming it. I recommend using another media player even if your download doesn't stream because Windows Media Player is an inefficient media player.
"I can see video but no sound!" or "I can hear sound but no video!" or "I don't see video or hear sound!" or "Nothing even plays!"
Download and install CCCP which can be found at http://www.cccp-project.net. If you have any previous codecs installed it is very recommended that you uninstall them and use CCCP only. CCCP was designed for watching all types of media files especially anime. In the package you will find a media player called ZoomPlayer, it's an awesome player, I use it to play pretty much everything. If you installed CCCP and the video file still doesn't play, then download VLC Player at http://www.videolan.org. VLC Player is an alternative to installing codecs, but chances are if you don't install the codecs the video won't run.
How come my wait times for public download changes?
Let me explain how the system works. The download system increments the time after consecutive downloads, and this incrementation continues until another timer from your first download resets.
Example:
Incrementation: 10 seconds
Reset timer: 600 seconds
Download 'file1.zip': No wait time
Download 'file2.zip': Wait 10 seconds
Download 'file3.zip': Wait 20 seconds
Download 'file4.zip': Wait 30 seconds
Download 'file5.zip': Wait 40 seconds
After 600 seconds pass, your wait time will reset to 10 seconds.
